As general manager Chris Drury scours the league for help especially in depth scoring at centre and wing, numerous teams have come up throughout the rumors of who the Rangers are interested in dealing with.

It appears that the Rangers are focusing their attention now on the Nashville Predators according to Kyle Hall of USA TODAY.

Nashville's general manager Barry Trotz has been making statements recently of change that will come to his roster and may be willing to part ways with some players.

It's clear that Drury looking for bottom 6 help as the Rangers need secondary scoring and improved penalty killing.

Players mentioned like Tommy Novak, Gustav Nyquist and Jeremy Lauzon certainly fit that description and could be a low-cost option for the Rangers.

Trotz seems to be on a retool of his team as he holds nine draft picks through the first 4 rounds this season.

Nyquist holds the most money at 3.18 million with one season remaining on his deal. Lauzon has 4 million left over two years and Novak is in the final year of his deal at 800K.

Certainly, players with term would help the Rangers as they would no cost certainty and would have retention on there talent.

It remains to be seen whether a trade can happen, but with the Rangers scouring across the league and their focus is on Nashville, it's certainly possible something can happen.
