It seems that Connor McDavid has decided that he will not score any more goals this year After he is in his worst slump in his entire career at 9 games.
Of course, that's a joke because the face of the NHL and Oilers phenom is trying to take his slump lightly and cracking a few jokes is always the best way to do it and making fun of yourself at the same time.
During a media scrum after another loss, McDavid felt by telling the media that he would just help with assists rather than trying to bend the twine.
Over his past five games he has had 10 assists but no goals which is unlike him.
This season seems to be a down year for him after his incredible run last season where he played 82 games, score in 64 goals with 89 assists with 153 points and was a + 22.
His season this year is still going quite well considering he's played 53 games, scoring 21 goals with 68 assists for 89 points and is a + 19 was 28 penalty minutes.
The Oilers finally snapped their three-game losing skid as they beat the LA kings last evening.
