USA TODAY tweet it out that Rangers general manager Chris Drury has been named to the Team USA management staff as he will partake in the Four Nations faceoff and the 2026 US Olympic men's hockey team.

Drury, along with Tom Fitzgerald and Bill Zito will be assistant general managers as they will run the team by committee.

It appears that Team USA is moving in a new direction well bringing some of the best general managers in the NHL as their teams sit near the top including the Rangers and the Florida Panthers.

The main general manager of the group is former NHLer Bill Guerin of the Minnesota Wild.

He spoke to media after the announcement was made and felt confident that they will build a great team for both tournaments.

«We've got a great management group and I'm excited to work with them in representing our country,» said Guerin, a three-time Olympian as a player and the current president of hockey operations and general manager of the Minnesota Wild. «It's an exciting time in USA Hockey and we're focused on bringing home championships from both events.»

The Four Nation face off is a new tournament set to begin on February 12th through the 20th 2025 while the Winter Olympics will be held on February 6th through the 22nd 2026 in Milan Italy.
