NHL insider Kevin Weeks has revealed some major news, as he announced the Carolina Hurricanes have signed head coach Rod Brind'Amour to a multi-year contract extension.

After the Carolina Hurricanes were eliminated by the New York Rangers in the second round, many fans were quick to question if Rod Brind'Amour's time with the team would come to an end. Many fans thought Rod hasn't delivered enough playoff success to stick around as head coach.

However, the Hurricanes have been considered of the best teams in the NHL with Rod Brind'Amour as their coach. Ever since 2019 the Hurricanes have made the playoffs and advanced to the second round. It also appears that Brind'Amours's staff will be signing extensions as well.
