The NHL announces the winner of the 2023-2024 Frank J. Selke award
The NHL has announced Florida Panthers forward Aleksander Barkov as the 2023-2024 winner of the Frank J. Selke Trophy.
This award is handed out every year to the forward who best exemplifies in the defensive aspect of the game. This will be second time Selke wins this award.
The NHL veteran who played in 73 games, has tallied 80 points with the Panthers this season with 23 goals and 57 assists. Also contributing 24 penalty minutes and had a +33 rating.

This trophy is awarded annually to the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game.
Over the last few years we've seen the Frank J. Selke Award handed out to Patrice Bergeron in 2022 & 2023, Barkov in 2021. Philadelphia Flyers forward Sean Couturier in 2021 and Nashville Predators Ryan O'Reilly in 2019.
