The New York Rangers had an excellent season, securing the President's Trophy and making it to the Eastern Conference Finals.

The team will want to build upon their success and make a trip to the Stanley Cup finals in 2025.
However, 3 key players who contributed to the team's success, could end up regressing.
Must read on NYRangersInsider
Kreider scored 76 points( 39 G, 36 A) in 82 games with the Rangers in 2023-2024. It was his third 30+ goal season with the Rangers and has been on a decline.
His career-high 52 goals during the 2021-2022 are an anomaly compared to his career statistics. His 75-point season, was the second-highest in his career, after making a jump from 54 points in 2022-2023.
So, it could be realistic to assume he won't notch 50+ goals again, but while he could score 30 goals, 70 points might be too high to achieve for him this season as well.
Zibanejad could be another Rangers that could regress in 2024-2025, after scoring 81 and 91 points, he scored 72 in 2023-2024.
While 70 points is nothing to sneeze at, it is a slight regression for Zibanejad. Could it be the fact that his performance is declining overall?
There's always a possibility for Zibanejad to achieve 90 points again, but many things will have to go right for him to do so again.
After scoring 120 points last season for the New York Rangers, Panarin its hard to picture Breadman topping that total in 2024.
He could score another 100 points, and 50 goals, but could falter and fail to hit the century mark.
His production could be on a slight decline, depending on his linemates. This all depends on whether it's Troecheck, or Zibanejad arguably.
