Using the PuckPedia tool, PuckGM there was a trade created by a user that would send Kaapo Kakko to the St. Louis Blues in a package deal.
The deal would send three players and a 2nd round draft pick for Kaapo Kakko, who'd get a fresh start in St. Louis.
While the Rangers would fill out their depth, with Oskar Sundqvist and Kasperi Kapanen. Matthew Kessel looks to be the depth piece to be sent to Hartford in the deal as well.
Sundqvist played 71 games for the Blues, scoring 21 points(6 G, 15 A). Kasperi Kapanen is also a former first-round draft pick and is still looking to secure a full time spot in the NHL.
Kessel all the while is up and down between the AHL and NHL, as he played 39 games last season scoring 7 points(1 G, 6 A).
This could add more depth for the Rangers on the bottom six and give Kakko a chance on a rebuilding roster.
Kakko himself skated in only 61 NHL games, scoring 19 points( 6 G, 13) and was a 2019 2nd overall draft pick by the Rangers.
Kakko wants to be an impact player and has played 300 games in the NHL, scoring 117 points(57 G, 60 A).
