Gabe Perreault was named player of the game for Team USA!
Gabe Perreault had 2 goals & 1 assist In the win! Fellow Boston College team and Ranger prospect Drew Fortescue scored the opening goal of the game.
Captain of Team Slovakia, Adam Sykora, scored his first goal at the 2024 World Junior Championship, but couldn't save the team, losing 4-3 against Finland and are eliminated from the tournament.
Sykora was also named player of game for Slovakia in quarterfinal loss.
Gabe Perreault and Team USA will move on to the Semifinals.
The United States' semifinal opponent has yet to be determined.
If Sweden defeats Switzerland in the final quarterfinal game, then USA will face Finland on Thursday.
However, if Switzerland manages to pull off an upset over the hosts, then it would set up a USA-Switzerland semifinal.
