Rangers and Canucks set to combine for another blockbuster trade involving former 40 goal scorer
As the NHL trade deadline quickly approaches, it was just reported that the New York Rangers and GM Chris Drury may be making a big push to acquire former 40 goal scorer.
NHL trade rumor listed a couple of teams that are reportedly pushing to acquire Boeser, and listed the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins as two teams that could acquire him as a rental or even long-term.
Boeser is set to be a UFA in the summer, and has been involved in a lot of speculation since July of 2024.
However, Boeser is seeing a decrease in production this season as he's sitting at 18 goals and 35 points this season, compared to last season when he scored 40 goals with 33 assists for a total of 73 points. Which has resulted in a ton of trade rumours.
Hockey analyst Cam Robinson stated that the Canucks may keep Boeser as their own rental for their push to the playoffs, but this could be very risky as he could walk in free agency for nothing.
What The Bruins Would Have To Pay To Acquire Boeser
NHL trade rumor revealed that the Rangers may have to offer up a first-round pick and a prospect like
Brennan Othmann or even
Brett Berard to acquire Brock Boeser at the March 7th NHL trade deadline
Definitely a steep asking price, but Boeser would be a great fit for the Rangers organization, considering his former teammate
J.T. Miller is now with the Rangers as well.
Brock Boeser may be a high risk player, but having him on a top line and top power play unit with the Rangers just might be the right move.
Do you think Chris Drury should make a move to acquire Brock Boeser from the Canucks? Let us know in the poll down below.
