Confirmed New Line Changes Tonight Against Detroit
The Rangers will be changing up a couple lines tonight against the Detroit Red Wings.
Yesterday during practice, head coach Peter Laviolette, placed Blake Wheeler on the first line with Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad, replacing Kaapo Kakko, who was moved to the third line with Will Cuylle and Nick Bonino.
Here is Laviolette on the decision to make the swap on each line:
From what it sounds like, it seems like this is more of a change for Wheeler, than it is for Kakko.
Neither player has been able to get it going despite the Rangers hot start to the season. Thankfully, Laviolette still believes there is room for improvement.
Let's see how this change works for the two players.
