We Get Our First Updates From Laviolette For Injured Players
The Rangers have not given us a definitive answer on the expected return of defenseman Adam Fox, and center Filip Chytil, return to the team.
But head coach Peter Laviolette has given us the closest thing to an answer we can hope to get for now.
"I don't think (multiple months) is what we're talking about. I don't like talking about it too far out."
The soonest Fox can return to the team is November 29th. While Chytil can return as early as November 12th.
Neither player has resumed skating, but at least it's promising to hear they are progressing.
Igor Shesterkin is definitely out today due to minor soreness. Jonathan Quick will get the start in front of the net tonight.
Shesterkin skated earlier for optional practice.
