Devastating news strikes former New York Rangers forward as his season is officially over
Unfortunate news strikes former New York Rangers forward Andrew Copp as it appears his season is over, as he will miss four to six months recovering from a successful surgery.
The Detroit Red Wings organization announced that they will be without veteran forward Andrew Copp for the remainder of the season, following a surgery fix a pectoral tendon and has been placed on Injured Reserve.

Andrew Copp underwent successful surgery today to repair his left pectoral tendon. He will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season with an expected recovery time of 4-6 months.
Before the injury, Copp had played 56 games this season with 10 goals and 13 assists on 23 points. He was a valuable asset as a middle-six center and penalty killer on a Red Wings team scrapping for a playoff spot.

Andrew Copp's NHL career over the years in the National Hockey League
Copp is now in his third year with the Detroit Red Wings, but originally started his career with the Winnipeg Jets back in the 2014-15 season. Then joined the New York Rangers half way through the 2021-21 season while tallying 21 goals that season.
Copp signed a five-year, $28.125 million contract with the Detroit Red Wings on July 13, 2022. He had NHL career highs in goals (21), assists (32) and points (53) in 72 regular-season games for the New York Rangers and Winnipeg Jets, and has quickly made a name for himself with the Red Wings.
