The New York Rangers completed destroyed the Pittsburgh Penguins during their home opener for the 2024-25 season with a 6-0 victory, leaving Penguins captain Sidney Crosby furious.

After the Rangers managed to get things going and put a up few goals, Penguins captain Sidney Crosby started to frustrated and started playing dirty which ultimately led to him making some poor decisions, like cross-checking Rangers star forward Mika Zibanejad, giving the Rangers the power-play.

Many fans even pointed out how whining Crosby was acting along with all the complaining he did from the penalty box, unfortunately it doesn't end there as he was also caught in a heated moment with Rangers rookie Victor Mancini as Crosby ran over Igor Shesterkin and then started swinging his stick at Mancini cause he pushed him out of there.

It's also important to mention that Crosby did not receive a penalty for running over Igor Shesterkin but earlier in the game Rangers took a penalty for the same play:

On replay - Crosby knocks down Igor (NO PENALTY - despite one being called on Cuylle earlier for the same thing), Mancini challenges him, Crosby skates away while throwing a cheap shot. Play on. #NYR

Clearly a great way for the New York Rangers to start the 2024-25 season, with that being said, the Penguins and their captain were hoping for a different outcome but ultimately Tristan Jarry looked horrible in net. Fans are not only calling out Crosby for his attitude and dirty plays, but many are wondering if he regrets signing an extension in Pittsburgh this off season.
