Former Rangers star Ryan Malone did the unthinkable recently as he skated 22+ hours straight for a particular cause.

He skated with the Lightning Warriors, a program that advocates for Veteran Suicide and Awareness.

The program started in 2017 and works to prevent veteran su*cides which works to prevent su*cides for those who were wounded in defense of the United States.

The Lightning Warriors Hockey Program, Inc ("LWHP") was formed on November 29, 2017, and formally incorporated on January 1, 2020.

The LWHP, a 501(c)(3), has been organized to operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, for those wounded in defense of the United States.

The purpose of the LWHP is to serve the disabled veteran community, the hockey community at large and the community at large in the Tampa, FL region.

Our mission is to provide both a recreational and competitive environment/team that is therapeutic and educational for our members so that we serve each other and our communities.

Malone did the unthinkable by skating for 22+ hours to raise awareness to combat veteran su*cide.

The turnout looked great and Malone should be congratulated for his efforts, as we can't imagine how tired his legs were, after skating for close to 24 hours.
