Former New York Rangers forward Dominic Moore will be a transplant in his newest home state.

He will be heading to the Southwest to join the newly-minted Utah HC on their television team.

Moore will be joining the television broadcast team for Utah HC's inaugural season in the NHL. He couldn't be more excited for his new opportunity.

«It's a really special thing to be a part of,» Moore said. «The opportunity to be a part of that, to be one of the front-facing figures to unite the team with the community and be on the air every night and bring the game to a new group of fans is an opportunity I could not pass up.

«Being a part of the first of a franchise is something truly, truly special. I think all of us can say when Vegas and Seattle came into the League in recent years, I think everyone saw the excitement that went along with that, and the passion of the community to receive their new team. It's the same thing happening here in Utah.»

Moore would play two stints with the New York Rangers during his career in the NHL and five seasons total, scoring 81 points( 30 G, 51 A) in 322 games.

He has since transitioned to the television side of the NHL, appearing on NBC and ESPN as an analyst.

The Rangers will square off against the Utah HC on October 12th, so Moore will be here for the game with the NHL's newest expansion squad.
