Former New York Rangers rival, Carter Hart has been denied access to the US after being one of the five players charged in the 2018 team Canada scandal.

Carter Hart who was the former goaltender of Philadelphia Flyers wants to move to the United States but is have trouble due to ongoing pre-trail motions on the five members of Team Canada's World Juniors who have been charged with assault.
According to a recent report that has surfaced, Hart is trying to move to Nashville, Tennessee but is being denied access because of his criminal charge.
"Mr. Hart, a former Philadelphia Flyer, says he intends to move from his home province of Alberta to Tennessee to work out full-time with a fellow former professional hockey player.

'If I am required to attend the pretrial motions, whether in person or remotely, it would be impossible for me to maintain my daily training regimen,' he writes. His affidavit says he has hired an immigration lawyer. 'I have been previously denied entry to the United States due to my criminal charge.'
The report from the Globe and Mail, does not state who the former player is that Hart is planning to work out with. All five players, Carter Hart, Dillon Dube, Michael MacLeod, Cal Foote and Alex Formenton, have been charged with assault for being involved in a celebration after Canada's World Juniors team won the gold medal back in 2018.
All five have been granted the ability to not be present during the pre-trial, which will decide what evidence can and can't be presented to a jury when the trial officially starts in September of 2025.
