The Rangers are sitting pretty after overcoming the Columbus Blue Jackets with a 4-3 shoot-out win. 11-2-1 and first place in the Metropolitan Division.

Everyone has Alexis Lafrenière to thank after that great victory and keeping the win streak alive.

I know I posted it several times already, but I'm going to do it again. The game-tying goal with only 11 seconds left:

The man is oozing with confidence and you can see it compared to seasons prior when he could sometimes look shaky unsure of himself.

Someone who agrees with this, is former Ranger, Mike Rupp, who has been killing it as an analyst on NHL Network.

The full podcast video is linked there to that leads to the YouTube channel, take a listen as it is great to hear their points of view.

But Rupp is absolutely on point with this. He was treated as a depth player, especially under previous head coach, Gerard Gallant.

But Peter Laviolette has just unleashed Lafrenière and it's showing with his play this season. I have a feeling the best is yet to come for the young man!

It's an exciting time to be a fan!
