Former Rangers Player Discusses Antics With Other Blueshirts
The New York Rangers always had a great mixture of veterans and young talent throughout the past couple of decades playing.
One former player, now retired, details how players were like before the start of the game. The player in question? Michael Del Zotto.
Michael Del Zotto was drafted by the Rangers in the 2008 NHL Draft, 20th overall.
He would play five seasons, accumulating 121 points in 292 games played, before being traded in 2014 to the Nashville Predators.
Michael Del Zotto got to play with several familiar Rangers like Dan Girardi, former captain Ryan Callahan, and the King, Henrik Lundqvist during his time on the team.
Analyst and host of X account, B/R Open Ice, Johnny Lazarus, discusses with Michael Del Zotto on his pregame antics with his former teammates. Watch it here:
Seems like one of the things that made Henrik Lundqvist so great was him being honed into the next game as much as he was.
It's always fun to hear the perspective of players of your favorite team of what it was like to play with. Hopefully we get more stories like this.
