JT Miller, now a New York Ranger was asked what it felt like to be reunited with the team who drafted him. He felt great that he was welcomed back to Madison Square Garden with open arms, and friends in tow.

JT Miller was originally a draft pick by the New York Rangers, 15th overall in the 2011 draft.
He'd remain a Blueshirt until the team traded him to Tampa Bay.
Ryan McDonagh along with forward Miller to Tampa Bay, with forward Vladislav Namestnikov, a 2018 first-round pick, 2019 second-round pick and prospects Libor Hajek and Brett Howden getting sent to New York.

He returned home, the long way around as he'd make a stop in Vancouver in 2019 and wouldn't find his back until GM Chris Drury fought to make a deal happen.
Now, he's on the same team as his best friend Vinnie Trocheck, and has moved into his home.
He was asked how he felt about the reunion, and he felt lucky with how it all went down.
"Tons of friends around the area and the welcoming I got coming back was astounding," Miller said. "Just so much support from my family and I just feel crazy lucky everything worked out the way it did."

The feud between himself and center Elias Pettersson would be the main reason for the trade, as the Canucks locker room was in turmoil.
He'd later be traded to the New York Rangers on January 31st, and wouldn't look back, waving goodbye to Rogers Arena.
Since his return, he's played five games for the New York Rangers and scored a total of four points (2 G, 2 A) and has been a key piece in the lineup.
He's taken over the 1st-line center role, and found short-term success with the team, as Mika Zibanejad now flanks him on the wing.
Now, the Rangers have depth in the lineup they've needed for some time.
And with the NHL at a standstill, we'll get to see Miller and Zibanejad suit up for their respective countries this week for the Four Nations Face-Off.
Miller and Pettersson will continue their feud on Thursday in Boston, as Team USA takes on Sweden.
Miller has 39 points (11 G, 28 A) in 45 games with the Canucks and Rangers.
