Laviolette Addresses Media On Disastrous Month Of January
The Rangers had a disastrous time in the month of January, going 5-7-2 for the month.
It also extends further to 27 games, going 13-12-2. Injuries, subpar goaltending, and a loss of identity on defense can definitely aid into such a lackluster record.
Peter Laviolette discussed the Rangers stretch in January and how there's positive signs as they go forward.
"I don't wanna make excuses because we're in the business of winning - there's a lot of games that we played where we weren't winning games where we outdid the opponent"
There are a lot of positive to take into account.
The Rangers still remain at first in the Metropolitan Division, despite their lead dwindling, and they are still among the contenders in a wide open Eastern Conference.
Still plenty of time to turn the season around, especially with the trade deadline imminent to improve the team.
