Peter Laviolette Addresses Media On Final Stretch Of Division Games
The 5-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins last night snapped a five-game winning streak for the Rangers, which held onto a three-point lead for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and first place in the Metro Division with the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes having the night off.
Thankfully the Rangers still control their own destiny for not only the No. seed in the East, but for the President Trophy with only seven games left to play.
Head coach Peter Laviolette addresses the media on the increased intensity of divisional games, Kaapo Kakko's strong play as of late, and evaluates Will Cuylle's rookie season so far:
The Rangers final divisional opponents are the Devils, Islanders twice, and the Flyers, all still desperately fighting for the final few playoff spots remaining.
Ironically enough, all are possible first round opponents for the Rangers as well.
Let's see how things shape up.
