The Rangers are a team on a mission this season with high expectations.

The expectations have been elevated even more since head coach, Peter Laviolette, has been hired this past summer.

So far, the start has been promising. 7-2 record to start the season, and in first place in the Metropolitan Division.

What could be the reasoning for it? Team camaraderie, and Laviolette having a funny moment with reporters.

He was asked about the group hug the team does after each practice, but he interrupted to make a very important correction.

"I call it a huddle. I want to make sure you get the word right."

Here is an example of the team, after practice has wrapped, and the huddle begins:

Always good to have a bit of levity in matters like this.

The Rangers will be facing off against the Carolina Hurricanes Thursday, November 2nd, at Madison Square Garden.
