Former New York Rangers controversial rival lands massive new role in the Tri-state area.

It was announced earlier today that former general manager of the Philadelphia Flyers, Chuck Fletcher was just hired by the New Jersey Devils as a senior adviser to GM Tom Fitzgerald.

This move has sparked quite the controversy, as fans are not the happiest with this move, considering the baggage Fletcher brings to the team.

Chuck Fletcher is the son of the former legendary NHL executive Cliff Fletcher, with that being said, Chuck hasn't quite lived up to the expectations that bis father achieved.

#NEWS: We've added Chuck Fletcher, Andy Greene and Manny Legace to our Hockey Operations staff.

Chuck joined the Philadelphia Flyers as their General Manager back in 2018 and stayed until 2023, after nearly working a decade with the Minnesota Wild(2009-2018), as their GM. Fans are also furious with Fletcher after leaving current GM Daniel Briere a complete mess in Philly.

Experts and fans have deemed Fletchers recent signings to be terrible, as he signed Kevin Hayes, Ivan Provorov, Rasmus Ristolainen, Sean Couturier, Joel Farabee and Anthony DeAngelo. Hopefully he doesn't disappoint the people and fans of New Jersey.
