Major Promotion Set To Strike Rangers Young Forward
The Rangers have held practice earlier today and head coach Peter Laviolette was trying out different spots for players in the lineups.
One position of interest is the first line right wing position, and rookie Will Cuylle might get his chance in that spot if practice earlier today was any indication.
Cuylle has been having a very productive year with the third line.
He has 11 points and has been an electric jolt to the bottom six the last couple of games.
He has several highlight hits and does play very sound defense
I would not be opposed to giving him a try in the first line.
But let's see how Laviolette feels come Thursday against the St. Louis Blues.
"Just a practice ... was an opportunity to pop him in there and see how he does. Just look at different things in practice."
The Rangers need to address the team defensively, more than anything.
They have given up five or more goals nine times this year.
They only did that six times in all of 2022-23.
