NHL insider demands the NHL Department of Player Safety to put an end to New York Rangers Matt Rempe's dangerous hits and hold him accountable by giving him a minimum of an 8 game suspension.
Recently the NHL Department of player Safety has determined the fate of New York Rangers fan favourite enforcer Matt Rempe after he was ejected from Friday nights game.
New York Rangers rookie enforcer Matt Rempe was ejected from Friday nights game against the Dallas Stars for boarding-elbowing defenseman Miro Heiskanen.
The hit occurred just right before the midway mark of the third period, and unfortunately Rempe was handed a five-minute Major and a game misconduct.

Matt Rempe has just returned to the New York Rangers lineup tonight for the first time since November 25th as Chris Drury was looking to shake things up for the Rangers roster.
However, a very unfortunate update has surfaced from the NHL Department of Player Safety has they have announced that Rempe will have an in-person hearing, which will allow them to suspend him for more then five games.

Since then, fans and many alike have been voicing their opinion on the situation. Many saying that Rempe doesn't belong in the NHL.
Why are we still pretending that Matt Rempe is an actual NHL player?
Matt Rempe has more ejections than points in only 22 career games, the NHL isn't for him.
Which has lead to Adam Proteau of the Hockey News to share his opinion aswell and stat the following:
«For this writer, eight games should be the starting point in terms of a Rempe suspension for his hit on Heiskanen. That's approximately 10 percent of the season. That's a fair amount of time.»
