Member of the Rangers coaching staff immediately steps away after elimination
Crucial Member of the New York Rangers coaching staff immediately steps away following elimination.
New York Rangers goalie coach, Benoit Allaire will be taking on a less prominent role after the Rangers were eliminated by the Florida Panthers in game 6.
Allaire will continue to work as the organization's director of goaltending, but the well-respected 60-year old has opted to no longer serve as the club's goalie coach on a day-to-day basis, according to multiple sources:
As this marks an end of an era, this decision is apparently 100% Allaire's as he's spent 20 years with the organization, and now the Rangers plan to lean on him during the process of find his replacement for a new goaltending coach.
