New York Rangers defenseman has made a costly mistake during Friday nights game against the Ottawa Senators.

The New York Eangers hosted to the Ottawa Senators at the Madison Square Garden on Friday night, and thankfully took a 2-1 victory thanks to Artemi Panarin taking an early lead.

However, with only 1:27 remaining in the first period, Rangers defenseman K'Andre Miller was trying to clear the puck out of Rangers zone by flicking the puck into the air, leading to his costly mistake.

As Miller flipped the puck up high he managed to take a noticeable chunk out of the scoreboard, which ultimately caused a stoppage in the game. Many including Miller couldn't stop staring at the chunk that was missing.

Rangers cleared the puck from their own zone. The lobb was so high it hit the scoreboard and damaged one of the panels. It's just hanging. It appears they are just going to leave it.

Many are left questioning if K'Andre Miller will have to pay for this out of his own paycheck, as the boardcaster and the team insiders have all made comments on the situation.

Miller tried a high flip and broke a panel on the video board.

Could be coming out of his next paycheck

Thankfully the Rangers were able to pull off a 2-1 victory as Alexis Lafrenière managed to get another goal by Linus Ullmark.
