New York Rangers issues a special announcement regarding superstar Igor Shesterkin

Today the New York Rangers made an announcement celebrating Igor Shesterkin as it's his birthday today.

Today is Shesterkin's birthday, and he turns 29-years old and the New York Rangers made a post on social media saying happy birthday to the star who was born on December 30th, 1995.

Just earlier this month on December 6th, the New York Rangers and Igor Shesterkin finally reached an agreement on a record breaking contract. An 8-year extension worth $92 million, which is reported to be $11.5 million to $12 million AAV.

However, Igor Shesterkin and the New York have been off to a rough start of the 2024-25 season as they have hit a rut that they can't seem to break as they are now sitting in last place of the Metropolitan Division with a record of 16-18-1.

Igor Shesterkin now sits with a record of 11-14-1 throughout the 26 games he has stared for the Rangers this season. Along with a 3.06 GAA and a .908 save percentage.

Hopefully the Rangers can turn their season around and make the playoffs but in order for that to happen everyone on the team must step up and perform to their greatest potential.

Especially tonight as the New York Rangers will faceoff against the Stanley Cup Champions, the Florida Panthers at 7:00PM.
