New York Rangers legend Jaromir Jagr announces his retirement ahead of his 37th professional season
Former New York Rangers and NHL legend Jaromir Jagr has just announced his retirement ahead of his 37th professional season.
Jagr has been playing professional hockey since 1988, which would mark his current season with the Kladno Knights his 37th.
According to a recent a report from Jagr's agent, the 52-year old will be retiring at the end of this season with the Kladno in Czech professional league, which is the team that he owns.
Before the start of this season, Jagr was sidelined from camp due to a hamstring injury, which has probably led to his final decision but he committed to finishing this season for his fans.
Despite the retirement announcement, the 52-year old still proved to the hockey world that he has what it takes to be out in the ice, as he notched an assist today.
Jagr finished his NHL career with a total of 1733 games played and managed to tally 766 goals, 1155 assists for a total of 1921 points.
