Last season with the Nashville Predators, Barrie played 41 games and managed to tally 15 points (1 goal, 14 assists), but has built a reputation over his years in the NHL as a powerhouse defenseman, and could be a valuable addition to the Rangers power play.
However, time is running out for Barrie as his options for the upcoming NHL season are slim, if the Ranger decide not to make an offer, his best chances of securing a spot will likely requiring a Professional Tryout Offer (PTO) with a weaker team if he wants a top-six role.
