New York Rangers dynamic duo on the verge of making franchise history
One of the best decisions Peter Laviolette made last season, was pairing Alexis Lafreniere and Artemi Panarin together.
Lafreniere struggled to break out his first three seasons in the NHL, despite his upside.
But being placed beside Artemi Panarin, he had his best season in the NHL with 57 points( 28 G, 29 A in 82 Games.
While Artemi Panarin continues to be one of the best in the NHL, scoring 120 points( 49 G, 71 A).
Both forwards, centered by Vinnie Troecheck, helped the Rangers achieve the regular season record for wins.
Lafreniere and Panarin, are excellent playmakers and can make magic happen on ice. They are not always looking to score, but have no issue finding each other on ice to create scoring chances, and adding some flash too.
True Stanley Cup contenders have unique and skillful players like Artemi Panarin on the roster.
It's arguable, that Panarin and Lafreniere could help drive the Rangers to their first Stanley Cup Finals since 1994.
