The New York Rangers have turned the corner in their season and it appears that their young enforcer Matt Rempe has done the same after serving an eight game suspension.
Rempe's Season came to a grinding halt back in December when he crushed Dallas Stars
Miro Heiskanen Which many NHL pundits felt was the proper call considering the extent of the hit.
Rempe appears to be a new player and showing why they love his energy
After the suspension was handed down, the 22-year-old forward spent some time looking at his situation and himself while talking with coaches and other members of the Rangers organization to make changes in his game.

Since his return, his game appears to be clean without any issues of mistakes or committing dirty hits which lead to penalties that hurt the Rangers especially during their major slump. His energy has also returned which has been infectious with the Rangers dressing room which could be a factor to their immediate turn around.
IT'S THE HEAVYWEIGHT FIGHT EVERYONE WAS WAITING FOR: ARBER XHEKAJ VS. MATT REMPE
«There is no question he has gotten better and there is no question he still has work to do to get better,» Peter Laviolette said about Rempe. «You see it's an optional today and he's on the ice, working on things that can help his game. He's putting in the time. He did this summer and he has every day since he's been here. He's been in the lineup and has been a positive influence for our team.» - New York Rangers Head Coach Peter Laviolette
Rangers turn around showing more confidence in team and Rempe
Rempe has begun to factor on the score sheet as he has two points through five games including a goal against the Ottawa Senators back on January 21st.
The longer he plays better in front of Laviolette and the coaching staff, the greater chance he will see more ice time and be trusted to be given more assignments.
MATT REMPE WITH AN ABSOLUTE BEAUTY
After a disappointing 5-4 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, the Rangers will face a big test as they will take on the newly revamped Carolina Hurricanes who recently acquired
Mikko Rantanen in a monster three team trade.
The game will take place on Tuesday January 28th and game time will be 7:00 PM eastern.
