New York Rangers sign top prospect to three-year entry level-contract
General Manager and President Chris Drury of the New York Rangers made a significant announcement today that the team has agreed to terms with 19-year old forward Dylan Roobroeck in a three-year, entry level contract.
Roobroeck collected 72 points in 68 regular season games throughout the 2023-24 season with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Tallying 26 goal and 46 assists ranking him second for points and third in assists for the Generals.
During the OHL playoffs, Roobroeck managed to find himself at the top of charts with 11 goals, and 15 assists in just 21 games.
Hailing from London, Ontario Roobroeck spent three seasons in the OHL with the Niagara IceDogs and the Oshawa Generals. During his time in the OHL he's accumulated an impressive 146 points in 200 regular season games.
Roobroeck was originally drafted by the Rangers in the sixth round, 178th overall, of the 2023 NHL Draft.
