Once Great Goaltender Admiring The Game Of Another Great
It's really nice to hear when a future hall of famer, like Jonathan Quick talks about how Igor Shesterkin is on and off the ice, especially admiring his style of play.
The three time Stanley Cup Champion joined the Rangers as a free agent this past summer to be a steady back up and relieve some of the weight off Shesterkin shoulders.
Quick is no where near the goaltender he once was when he was on the Los Angeles Kings, but he can still be an asset on the team.
Igor Shesterkin is most likely the starter for Thursday's home game against the Nashville Predators.
He's coming off his best game of this young season against the Arizona Coyotes, where he stopped 26 of 27 shots and stopped a crucial penalty shot that could have tied the game with less than five minutes left in the third.
He's faced four penalty shots his entire career, and stopped all four.
The team will play tomorrow night, against the Nashville Predators at Madison Square Garden, looking to improve to 3-1 for the season.
