Peter Laviolette Has Had Enough, Demands One Thing From His Team
The Rangers lost 3-2 against the Washington Capitals, for their season-worst fourth loss in a row, despite getting two goals from Adam Fox.
They are now 8-9-1 in the last 18 games.
The Rangers have done what they have done best all season, allow goals in clusters.
They surrendered two goals in the span of 1:53 in the third period to trail 3-2 and then lose.
Nine of our 15 losses, our opposition has scored two goals within two minutes. 17 of our 41 overall games, our opposition has scored two goals within 4 minutes.
Peter Laviolette was asked about his level of concern with losing four straight:
"We've got to win a game tomorrow," he said. "That's the objective tomorrow is go back and win a hockey game."
This team has not played well consistently for nearly half of the season now.
They definitely need to win tomorrow, and they will have another chance against the same team at home.
