Peter Laviolette Issues Bold Message To Igor Shesterkin
For the first time in 10 days, the Rangers have won a hockey game.
They beat the Washington Capitals 2-1 and snap their four game losing streak.
A massive reason for the win today was the incredible clutch performance of Igor Shesterkin, stopping 24 of 25 shots with a .960 save percentage!
Head coach Peter Laviolette speaks on Igor Shesterkin's performance today:
"I think it was important for Igor to give us a good game and I thought he did... at the right time we needed to get a win tonight and just kind of put that behind us and build something new here."
It's good to see a strong defensive effort from the team and Shesterkin looking strong in front of the net for his 17th win of the season!
Rangers are now 4-0-0 in their alternate jerseys.
