Peter Laviolette stuns fans as he reveals how Matt Rempe is effecting the New York Rangers lineup

New York Ranged head coach Peter Laviolette issues statement on fan favourite enforcer Matthew Rempe's recent performance since returning from his 8-game suspension.
Matt Rempe has made it very clear that he wants to be more than just an enforcer and that he wants to improve his skills to become a better hockey player.
While the 22-year old brings a physical presence for fans and teammates to feed off of, he has been focused on his offensive game and has truly made a difference while being on the ice.
It's safe to say that since Rempe's latest suspension his hockey IQ has increased, as he's more careful about taking costly penalties, which has been something the Rangers have been trying to address for awhile now.
With that being said, head coach Peter Laviolette is beginning to trust Rempe more and it's translating into his overall role with the team, as he has played over eight minutes in the last three games.
Here's what Laviolette had to say on Matt Rempe according to Remy Mastey of The Hockey News:
«I don't think he's looking for penalties, I don't think he's looking for hits,» Laviolette said. «I don't think that's necessarily on his radar. The more you play, the more experience you get, the more you learn

Rempe was previously on a tight leash with the Rangers organization last season, along with being scratched on several occasions this season, however it looks like things just might change.
Since Rempe has returned he has been seeing some ice time during the third period and at critical moments in the game, clearly indicating that Laviolette's confidence in the youngster has increased.
If Rempe can continue to keep this up, he'll 100% earn himself a permanent spot in the New York Rangers lineup.
