Jonathan Quick Has Been Remarkable For The Rangers
The Rangers have vaulted themselves into first place in the Metropolitan Division, and now the entire league!
Multiple factors have made this possible.
One that really stands out to me is the goalie tandem that is Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick.
Quick, specifically, has been playing like an early Vezina Trophy nominee!
Boasting a 6-0-1 record, he is second in the league in save percentage, goals allowed per game and tied for second with two shutouts!
I don't think even the most optimistic Rangers fan would have ever predicted this incredible start of the season with Quick.
Let's also give some love to Louis Domingue as well, who was recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack when both Quick and Shesterkin were both out due to injury.
Domingue played lights out in the 4-1 win over the Minnesota Wild. Stopping 25 of 26 shots and stepping up when the team needed him.
Don't forget, the Rangers are accomplishing all this without Adam Fox, going 7-1-1 in his absence.
