Rangers Captain Breaks Down Element Of Getting Over Frustrating Game
The Rangers earn their 40th win of the season in game No. 60, tying the 1972-73 team for the fewest games required to reach the mark.
The Rangers are the first team in the NHL to hit the win total.
Rangers captain, Jacob Trouba, spoke to the media on what the team needed to do to get over the frustrating loss the last time the Rangers faced the Blue Jackets that broke their 10 game winning streak:
"Be able to turn the page, reset and have the confidence that we know how to play to win hockey games."
Trouba also speaks on the Rangers tying the franchise record for the fewest games needed to reach the 40-win mark:
"Definitely an accomplishment, but like I said, just continue to build our game. There's no real trophies handed out right now. So, that's great, but who really cares?"
Trouba would also add this:
"We have bigger goals that we want to accomplish. Just continue to build the confidence, the confidence in how we play, the confidence as a group. We haven't gotten to where we want to be and it's a building process."
No bigger goal right now than to just win the Stanley Cup.
