The Rangers are one of those teams that are in a win now mode.
After several years of building and acquiring many assets and other players, the rangers are ready to go on a run but that does not stop general manager Chris Drury for making a few changes to improve the team.
With two weeks remaining, many questions remain on what he will do to improve those positions.
Many feel that the third line centre position is one of the most pressing positions for the Rangers as they have suffered a major injury and a demotion that has left that area vulnerable.
Many names have surfaced over the past several weeks including Adam Henrique, Scott Laughton, Alex Wennberg and Tyler Johnson.
All those names will help the team in some form or another, but it comes down to making the right decision without upsetting the balance of the dressing room.
The Rangers are continuing to roll with a nine game-winning streak and have remained at the top of the division for the balance of the year.
Certain players including Alexis LaFreniere are taking a step forward and elevating their games which gives more for Drury to ponder.
They also must consider the future as well as a first round pick seems to be the cost for many of these players and Drury is reluctant to pay that price.
I feel that Drury needs to weigh all this out and possibly add a small amount to the team to give them a chance to make a Cup run possible. They have certainly learned their lessons from last year after losing in the first round.
