There is a constant comparison between Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin and the other top contenders in the league to see where he stacks up.
As many know, he struggled earlier this season due to several reasons, but it seems he has turned his season around and looks more like the goalie that was dominant.
During the Puck Talk segment with Matthew Mugno, Rangers reporter Colin Stepheson gave his view that Shesterkin is the best goalie out there when he is on his game compared to others like Andrei Vasilevskiy, Alexander Georgiev and Linus Ullmark.
Over his last 5 games, he has had 2 shutouts and two games over .950 in save percentage.
It's clear he's improving his game and beginning to round into form for the incoming playoffs. He currently holds a record of 28-13-2 with a goals against of 2.54 and a save percentage with .914.
With Igor Shesterkin more dominant and adding a security in net with Jonathan Quick who has won 2 Stanley Cups, the Rangers have a strong case for the best tandem in the league.
