Rangers Practice Lines Amid Injury And Recalls
The Rangers will be without Kaapo Kakko due to a lower-body injury for quite some time.
Head coach Peter Laviolette fills us in briefly on his injury status.
"You hate to lose personnel, and he'll miss some time here... It's just the nature of the beast inside of hockey and the injuries that pop up. We'll get him back at some point, which is good news. But for the short term here, he's out."
The good news is he will be back at some point this season. So the injury is not season ending.
The Rangers meanwhile have changed up the line-up in practice today to accommodate returning player Adam Fox, who has been out with a lower-body injury since November 3rd.
Also they have recalled Jonny Brodzinski from the Hartford Wolf Pack. Take a look at the new line-up:
Fox is back to being paired with Ryan Lindgren, which is a beautiful sight! Zac Jones has been relegated back to seventh defenseman.
Brodzinski is coming on the third line in place of Kakko.
We still won't have the full group from what we started the season, but it's shaping up.
