Drama rises in the New York Rangers locker room leading to speculation that the team is set to strip Jacob Trouba of his captaincy, if he isn't traded before then.

Rangers General Manager Chris Drury has spark quite the uproar with everyone after reports surfaced that he ready to shake things ups.

Despite there being a lot of outside noise surrounding the Rangers, head coach Peter Laviolette has downplayed the situation when asked about the trade rumours.

«Those things are out of our control, that's not in our control,» Laviolette said. «What's in our control is playing a better game, how we respond today and how we react tomorrow.»

As the New York Rangers are currently on a three-game losing streak and the team's morale is at an all time low, more changes need to happen.

Pierre McGuire of The Sick Podcast has stated in a recent podcast that the New York Rangers have completely mishandled the Trouba situation and should give the «C» to someone else.

The New York #Rangers have completely mishandled the Jacob Trouba situation...

Pierre McGuire: "If you're going to emasculate your captain and keep him on your team, you may want to take the "C" and give to somebody else"

Following the podcast Jim Biringer, pointed out that the reason for the Rangers locker rooms troubles is that they didn't trade or find a way to move on from a guy they didn't want there.

So if the Rangers don't managed to trade the 30-year old defensemen who only has six assists through the first 20 games, it would be wise to move the «C» to someone more deserving.
