Rangers Retake Lead With Amazing Shorthanded Goal!
It's okay everyone, you can breathe.
This is arguably the most entertaining first period the Rangers have had this season.
The two best defenses in the league have allowed five goals in just the first period. Not the way we thought this game was gonna turn out!
The Rangers opened the scoring with an unassisted goal from Nick Bonino, his first as a Ranger!
The Rangers would increase their lead to 2-0 as Chris Kreider scores on a power-play goal, his seventh power-play goal of the season against the No. 1 penalty kill in the league.
Unfortunately Boston score two goals 24 seconds apart to tie the game. Boston soon after got a power-play opportunity off a hooking penalty from Eric Gustafsson.
But it was the Rangers who needed up scoring the shorthanded goal, with Kreider getting the goal!
Chris Kreider records a PPG and SHG in the same game for the fourth time in his career.
Rangers up 3-2 as we enter the second period!
