Roster Change: New York Rangers projected lineups for their game against the New York Islanders
Taking a look at the new and improved New York Rangers projected lineups for their upcoming game against the New York Islanders this afternoon at Madison Square Garden for 1:00PM.
Tonight should be an interesting matchup as this is the first time the New York Rangers and New York Islanders will be facing off for the 2024-25 season.
However, Rangers reporter Vince Z. Mercogliano has released the projected lineups from the New York Rangers practice that took place on Friday, and everything is changed up:
Complete new lines:
Panarin - Zib - Laf
Cuylle- Trocheck - Smith
Kreider - Chytil - Kakko
Edström - Carrick - Vesey
Laviolette looking for a spark after being outshot by a combined margin of 87-37 in the last two games. #NYR
D pairs have switched at this morning's practice:
Lindgren - Fox
Miller - Trouba
Jones - Schneider
Looks like Mancini is out. #NYR
After the Rangers practice head coach Peter Laviolette issues a statement on why he decided to change up the lines. Here's what he said:
Laviolette on lineup shakeup: «I just wanted to give it a change. That's three out of four games where I don't think that we've taken it the way we want to offensively.» #NYR
Along with that Peter Laviolette has still yet to confirm if Vesey will be returning to the Rangers lineup this afternoon. However, a lot of signs indicate that he will be, one being he was in the rushes during practice, along with that Matt Rempe was sent back down to the AHL's Wolf Pack clearly a roster spot.
