The NHL trade deadline continues to tick away and with only five days remaining the Rangers are continuing to scour the league while looking for help for their third line and bottom six forwards.

General manager Chris Drury has not been forthcoming of trading their first-round pick this this draft which has led to Kappo Kakko being on the move.
This news has generated a lot of interest and now the Chicago Blackhawks heavy emerged as a potential landing spot for the 23-year-old right winger.
Adding a player of this caliber who has not benefited as hoped by the Rangers would certainly find a fit in the top six of the Blackhawks.
The team is devoid of talent as general manager Kyle Davidson continues to tear down the team and rebuild it into a new vision.
Having Bedard as the main draw for other players to come would give Kakko a chance to show his skill set.
Kaako has one year remaining on his deal which is worth $2.1 million per season.
He will be a restricted free agent with arbitration rights next year which would bode well for the Blackhawks.
In order to facilitate a trade, Blackhawks hold seven draft picks in the first three rounds of this draft and could part ways with one, a prospect along with a veteran forward that the Rangers could use for the playoff push.
Time will tell if Drury and Davidson can find some common ground and make a deal happen
