It's been a tough couple of months for Capitals star forward Evgeny Kuznetsov as he realized he needed to seek help and entered the NHLPA assistance program.
As his time ended with the program, the Capitals decided to place him on waivers to see if there be any takers.
It was just announced by Frank Seravalli of the dailyfaceoff.com that Evgeny Kuznetsov had cleared waivers and will be heading to the AHL Hershey Bears.
As mentioned by Frank Seravalli, he will become the highest paid player in the HL due to his position in the NHL.
According to capfriendly.com, Evgeny Kuznetsov will hold a salary of $8 million while playing for the bears and he will still have a year left on his deal.
The 31 year-old has played 43 games this year, scored six goals with 11 assists for 17 points.
Once considered a highly dangerous offensive threat with the capitals it seems he has a long road ahead to returning to the NHL.
