Ryan Lindgren: emerges as a trade candidate for the Rangers heading into 2024-2025

This could lead to some negative consequences for the Rangers and Lindgren. They need him to be healthy and contribute to the team's long-term success, but he's been out often and injured more than they'd like.

This idea could solve two problems with one move, as they could clear cap space to sign Igor Shesterkin with. As he recently rejected an $88 Million deal, with an 8-year term.

While they could fetch some good assets and draft capital in return for the defenseman the price for defenseman in the NHL seems to be rising in the last few years.

Lindgren played 76 games with the New York Rangers last season scoring 17 points(3 G, 14 A) with a +22 in 2023-2024.
