Ryan Lindgren has returned to the Rangers for practice, and he's adorning something we wouldn't expect.

Lindgren would suffer an upper-body injury after fighting the New York Islander's Scott Mayfield. He would later be listed week-to-week by the New York Rangers.
But it's been reported by Mollie Walker that Lindgren is working towards a return soon. He's been seen at practice, by the New York Post writer in a full-face mask.
Could Lindgren have suffered some kind of facial injury when he fought Mayfield?
For now, Lindgren remains on the injured reserve, joining Jimmy Vesey on the injured list.
The defenseman has no definite timeline of return to the New York Rangers lineup which leaves his spot open for someone to capitalize upon.
Tonight K'Andre Miller slots in on the lineup according to DailyFaceOff.
The positive news out of all this is that the 26-year-old is practicing with the team, which could mean a return sooner rather than later.
The defenseman is in an important year of his NHL career, as he signed a one-year $4.5 million contract with the Rangers.
He has to prove to GM Chris Drury that he is a long-term solution for the Rangers and the goal is always the Stanley Cup.
But can he continue to be the "warrior" to Adam Fox's puck-moving, sniper, when he is out of battle so often?
There's hope yet as the season has just begun for the Rangers.
In 2023-2024, Lindgren played 76 games with the Rangers scoring 17 points( 3 G, 14 A) with a +22.
