The Captain Wanted Retribution For Dirty Hit
The New York Rangers may have edged out a 2-1 win against the Carolina Hurricanes last night, but it still remains clouded with the questions of the injury status of Adam Fox and Filip Chytil.
Fox had suffered a lower-body injury because of a knee-on-knee hit with Carolina's forward, Sebastian Aho, and was taken to the locker room where he didn't return for the rest of the game.
Here is the clip:
Captain for the Rangers, Jacob Trouba, felt Aho should have answered for that dirty hit. Take a listen:
"I gotta fight every time I do something, so I figure he should probably have to answer for it too, but he didn't feel that way."
Former No. 1 pick, Alexis Lafreniere was challenging Aho for a fight a few times, especially with high sticks thrown at his face, but Aho I guess wasn't brave enough for the action.
Trouba also speaks on the game winning goal from rookie Will Cuylle, a goal which he recorded an assist on:
"I almost lost the puck at the blue line and gave up a breakaway haha. Then I went down the wall, Wheels set a good pick, I think it was Wheels, just kinda had the puck for a second and saw Cools going to the net and he put it in."
It's great when the captain has his teammates back like this, nor is he shy to speak his mind.
Let's hope the injuries to Fox and Chytil are nothing serious, and we wish them good health.
